Move for Health 2014

The year 2014’s Move for Health walk began on October 11th from the Khasadrapchu school in Thimphu with the Lyonchen and the Health Minister leading the Walk. With rising costs of essential drugs and vaccines, the walk focused on garnering the public’s support to Invest in Health, which was kept as the theme for this year’s walk. Participants from local agencies and international agencies, students and the public joined the walk which began at 8:00 in the morning and journeyed their way towards the Clock Tower, the endpoint of the walk. Various agencies, organizations and individuals handed over their donations to the Lyonchen at the Clock Tower, Thimphu during the closing ceremony of the walk. An amount of about Nu. 6.5 million was raised during this year’s event.
