A Farewell note to the Director

 A farewell dinner was organized on 12th January 2022 for Dr. Sonam Phuntsho, the outgoing Director of Bhutan Health Trust Fund. The Chairperson and members of the BHTF Board graced the occasion. The Chairperson, honourable Health Minister, Dasho Dechen Wangmo expressed gratitude to Dr. Sonam Phuntsho for his boundless support and dedicated service to Bhutan Health Trust Fund for the past six years.

Under the leadership of Dr. Sonam Phuntsho the fund size of BHTF has more than doubled, from Nu. 1.46 billion in 2016 to Nu 3.6 billion in 2021. He also oversaw the successful transition of BHTF into an autonomous agency, whereby securing a 10 million USD ADB grant to BHTF.

The BHTF Management Board and Secretariat wishes him all the best in his endeavours ahead.
