Bhutan Health Trust Fund Received Donation from Punakha Dzongkhag
On behalf of the Bhutan Health Trust Fund (BHTF) Board, His Excellency Lyonpo Tandin Wangchuk, Chairperson of BHTF, received a generous donation of Nu. 1,081,871 (Ngultrum One Million Eighty-One Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy-One) from a delegation led by Dasho Dzongda, representing the people of Punakha Dzongkhag, on April 3, 2025.
The funds were contributed by Dzongkhag and Thromde officials, business communities, schools, training institutes, and the people of11 Gewogs of Punakha Dzongkhag.
This collective effort reflects the strong sense of responsibility and solidarity among the people of Punakha in supporting free primary healthcare services.
The Chairperson expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Team led by Dasho Dzongda, consisting of Dzongkhag Thrizin, the Dzongkhag Public Health Officer, Administrative Officer of Punakha Dzongkhag Hospital and the entire community of Punakha for their inspiring initiative, unwavering solidarity, and generous support. Their contribution will play a crucial role in ensuring the continued supply of essential drugs and vaccines, sustaining primary healthcare services across the country.
